1. Who we are
This website is operated by Maple Health. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Maple Health, and "you" refers to a visitor to this website.
2. What this website collects
This website does not run an account system and does not process payments. What it does collect:
- Contact form. When you submit the form we store the name, email address, phone number and message you provide, together with your IP address and browser identifier, so that we can respond to you and investigate misuse. A notification containing your message is emailed to our team. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry.
- Appointment requests. If you book an appointment we store the name, phone and WhatsApp numbers, email address, city and country you provide, together with the health issues and past health history you describe and any reports you choose to upload. We also record that you gave consent, and your IP address and browser identifier. This information is used only to assess and respond to your request.
- WhatsApp. If you use the WhatsApp button instead, the conversation happens in your own WhatsApp client and is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.
- Session cookie. A single functional cookie is used to keep your browsing session secure and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It holds no personal information and no marketing identifiers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical access information (such as IP address, timestamp and requested URL) for security and reliability purposes.
We do not use advertising trackers, behavioural profiling, or third-party analytics on this website.
3. Health information and how we protect it
The health details and reports submitted with an appointment request are personal health information, and are handled with additional safeguards:
- The health description and history you write are encrypted before being stored, and are not searchable.
- Uploaded reports are stored outside the public area of the website. They have no web address and cannot be reached by guessing a link — they can only be opened by a signed-in administrator.
- Notification emails sent to our team contain no clinical detail and no attachments; they only prompt a staff member to open the secure admin area.
- Deleting a request also permanently deletes the reports uploaded with it.
Information you share during a consultation, by phone, by email or over WhatsApp is handled separately from this website under our clinical confidentiality obligations. Please do not send sensitive medical details through the general contact form — use the appointment form, which is built for it.
4. Third-party services
Pages may embed a Google Maps frame and link out to WhatsApp and to our social media profiles. When you interact with those, the relevant provider's own privacy policy applies.
5. Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to retain it.
